About Us
I am a Disability Resources professional who has worked in higher education for 35 years. I was formerly Director of Access & Disability Services at William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Illinois. Currently I am serving as the Interim Director of Disability Support Services at California State University – Fullerton. Over the past 25+ years, I have worked as a consultant to a wide variety of institutions and have been active in AHEAD (Association on Higher Education and Disability) and in NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education).
I have worked as a professional consultant in a variety of roles, primarily as a reviewer/evaluator/re-designer of Disability Resources for over 25 universities. In addition, I have worked on developing materials and training for a program for students with intellectual disabilities, done professional development training on digital accessibility, Universal Design, Social Justice and Disability and on faculty collaboration with Disability Resources. Professionally I have presented nationally and internationally (Innsbruck Disability conference, 2013) on strategic planning, use of data/metrics in advocating for DRS resources, departmental growth and development and on working with students who are Deaf/hard of hearing, LD and who have Asperger’s Syndrome.
